While the sports industry was struggling to find efficient and safe seating solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic, Scott and his team were able to build a tool that allowed Notre Dame Athletics to optimize our seating capacity and to adjust to the ever-changing constraints and health protocols to safely seat our fans. Scott's efforts saved countless hours for the ticket office. He was constantly seeking feedback and collaborating with our staff to ensure the tool was meeting our needs. We couldn't have been more impressed with his teamwork, support and dedication to a project that made a tremendous.

Dr. Nestler took a chance on me and helped set up initial meetings with team coaches and staff and gave us support as I established an analytics program for the hockey team. Without his selflessness and desire to help and serve others we would not have been able to achieve anywhere near the amount of success we did. I'm truly thankful to him for helping me have the college experience I did and I'm glad and proud to call him a mentor and a friend.

Scott operates in the rare cross section between theoretical rigor and practical application. Our paths crossed numerous times over exciting projects and impactful initiatives while I was in Notre Dame Athletics and he was in the Mendoza College of Business. Most recently, his ability to deliver a tool that would answer the challenge of reserved seating in a pandemic through SafeSeating Solutions is remarkable. Aside from the results Scott can drive, it's hard to imagine a more collaborative colleague in an industry and profession that disproportionately favor individual pursuits. Scott is a teammate in the strongest sense.

Scott has been a "most valuable player" as a consultant helping Frontline Systems customers with their analytic modeling problems. He combines deep expertise across a range of analytic methods from simulation/risk analysis to optimization, a first-rate ability to elicit and understand a client's requirements and priorities, clear communication skills, and a highly professional, service-oriented attitude. It's always been a great pleasure to work with Scott.
